It turns knowledge into skill.
Classes teach ideas. Building something teaches you how to use them, under real constraints, with real consequences.
About
Future Founders Society brings together high school students who want to learn entrepreneurship the way it actually sticks: by doing it, with people who take it as seriously as they do.
Our story
Future Founders Society was established in 2026 by Ata Ozcelik and Tareef Khan, two high school students who shared a common belief: entrepreneurship should not be something students have to wait until adulthood to experience. We wanted to create an environment where ambitious young people could explore business, develop leadership skills, and transform their ideas into something real.
The vision behind Future Founders Society grew from our shared interest in entrepreneurship and the opportunities we believed were missing from traditional education. While students learn important concepts in classrooms, they rarely have the chance to experience the challenges of building a business, developing a product, managing finances, or working alongside other aspiring entrepreneurs.
We created Future Founders Society to bridge that gap. Our goal is to bring together students who are passionate about business, innovation, and leadership, providing them with opportunities to collaborate, develop entrepreneurial projects, learn from experienced professionals, and gain practical knowledge that extends beyond the classroom.
What begins as a student-led organization has the potential to become something much greater. We envision Future Founders Society growing into a network of young entrepreneurs who support one another, develop meaningful ventures, and inspire future generations to take initiative. We believe age should never be a barrier to ambition, creativity, or leadership.
Entrepreneurship has always been about more than starting a business to me. It’s about having the confidence to turn an idea into reality, learning from challenges, and creating something meaningful. We founded Future Founders Society to give students the opportunity to develop that mindset and start building their futures today.
We believe that some of the greatest ideas can come from young people who are simply given the opportunity to explore them. Future Founders Society is about bringing ambitious students together, encouraging them to think differently, and giving them a place to learn, lead, and create something of their own.
The first chapter
Ata Ozcelik and Tareef Khan found Future Founders Society as co-founders and co-presidents.
Six director positions open to students: Finance, Marketing, Events, Startups, Membership, and Partnerships.
The first members join and help decide how the society runs, from meeting formats to the first programs.
Workshops, the first Startup Lab teams, and our first Pitch Night.
A day of keynotes, workshops, and pitch finals that closes our first full year.
To empower the next generation of entrepreneurs by providing high school students with opportunities to develop business ideas, build practical skills, connect with experienced professionals, and transform their ambitions into meaningful ventures.
To establish a growing community of ambitious young entrepreneurs who challenge conventional thinking, create opportunities, and become the founders and leaders of tomorrow.
Philosophy
Every concept we teach ends in something members make, test, or present. Reading about a business is not the same as starting one.
Ideas get better when they meet real people. We would rather hear the hard truth in week two than in week twenty.
Founders do not need a perfect plan. They need cheap experiments and the courage to run them.
Core values
They shape what we build, how we work together, and what we expect from every member.
Encouraging creative thinking and new approaches to solving problems.
Developing confidence, responsibility, teamwork, and the ability to inspire others.
Transforming knowledge and ideas into practical business experience.
Creating opportunities for students to learn, build, and grow together.
Encouraging entrepreneurial initiatives that contribute positively to schools and communities.
Why entrepreneurship
Classes teach ideas. Building something teaches you how to use them, under real constraints, with real consequences.
The habit of noticing a problem and acting on it is valuable in every career, whether or not you ever start a company.
A failed experiment at sixteen costs little and teaches a lot. Better to learn how to recover now than later.
Every real venture starts by solving someone else’s problem. That is a good habit to build early.
Long-term goals
This year
Run a full season of workshops and speakers, launch the first Startup Lab teams, and hold our first Pitch Night.
Within three years
Help members launch ventures that serve real customers in our community, and publish what they learned.
Within five years
Make the Future Founders Summit a fixture for student founders across our region.
Always
Stay student-led, open to anyone willing to build, and honest about our results.
Membership
The founding members of a society decide what it becomes. If that sounds like you, we would like to meet you.
